This is a huge loss for the mental health community. Dr. Shapiro’s development of EMDR has led to notable improvement in countless people suffering from trauma. She leaves behind a great legacy.

For years I’ve wanted to be trained in ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) to treat those struggling with OCD, and this week I’ll finally complete that training at Penn Medicine. If you or anyone you know struggles with OCD, I’ll be all the more ready to help starting next week.

Many of my clients comment on how they enjoy the nautical theme with which I decorated my office, in addition to picture window overlooking the creek. This research backing up the therapeutic benefits of "blue space" is not surprising.
