Hope everyone has had a great start to the new year! Have you made a resolution to lose weight, eat healthier, add some muscle, get to the gym more, etc.? Let m...e be the first to tell you STOP! Yes I said STOP! Instead, why not set a GOAL instead of a "resolution"? Way to often we set up resolutions only to fall off track early on and never really jump back into it. Here's what you can do: 1. Set a goal for the year. For example, maybe you want to lose 50 lbs, run a marathon, add 10-20 lbs of muscle, etc. 2. Break it down into what you want to achieve every 3 months. 3. Break that down even further into what you can do each month to hit that target. 4. Take that target and set out a weekly even daily plan for each week You get where i'm going with this, right? Setting up long terms goals will hold you more accountable in the short term to stay on track to meet it. A lot of the time we set these astronomical short term goals that, in reality, aren't attainable or sustainable. Take a long, hard look at what you want out of 2020 and tell yourself "where do I want to be come december?" Need some help? Hard work definitely pays off!! Several months ago I struggled to sit more than a few minutes let alone squat. Today I PR'D my front squat byv10 lbs. Havent hit a pr on this lift in 4 years.
