Fairview Fire and Rescue 28.04.2021

A busy morning for volunteers of the 50 and 52nd. As always our members are doing so much more than just running calls. That was evident this morning as we had multiple generations in the firehouse working on things. Firstly, the newest members of Fairview and Lake Shore began taking steps to become qualified vehicle operators by beginning their Emergency Vehicle Driver’s Training course. Special thanks to Paramedic Gerry Glock for coming up from Crawford to teach. ... In another room some of the most senior members of the company met to sort through nearly a centuries worth of photographs to get things moving on the newly formed Historical Preservation Committee. Finally, in the kitchen, the dual company Membership Committee sat down to breakfast and worked diligently on their aspect of the proposed consolidation. It was a very productive morning!

Please help us. If there is a fire hydrant in your neighborhood, please help us by keeping it clear of snow in case the unimaginable happens in your neighborhood. Every second counts in case of a fire and if our personnel have to dig out a hydrant, that takes precious minutes away from providing water to extinguish a fire.
