With the new COVID-19 restrictions coming out yesterday for PA, we know that people may be feeling all sorts of emotions. Girls on the Run teaches participants that there is no shame in having emotions, and they also learn how to manage and communicate their emotions effectively from mindfulness, to stop taking a BrTHRR (breathe, think, respond, review), to "I feel..." statements. Take a moment to think about some of the ways you manage your emotions.

Looking for a meaningful physical activity program for a 3rd-5th grade girl this winter? Girls on the Run Berks is excited to announce GIRLS HAVE POWER! A 5-week camp-style winter session for 3rd-5th grade girls that will take place on Saturdays from noon-3 PM beginning January 30th. This five Saturday program will be located at the Sinking Spring Family YMCA. Spots are limited to align with CDC, state, and local Covid-19 safety guidelines. Girls will receive their own bags with program supplies, a t-shirt, water bottle, and more! Thankful Thursday gives us the opportunity to show our gratitude towards those who help make it possible for us to serve the girls in our community. As we officially end our Fall 2020 season, we take the time to say "THANK YOU!" to all our volunteer coaches. This was not an easy season to navigate, but they did it with passion, fun, and GOTR positive spirit! The girls had a great season because they gave their heart and soul to being mentors, role models, and coaches to the girls on their teams.
