Each class will teach basic footwork and the instructors choice of East Coast Swing moves. Taught by Ashley Ivanoff Wednesdays in March at 7pm. Lindy Hop- Small Group Lessons: Can be taken as a series or lesson by lesson basis. Each class will teach basic footwork and a selection of ...Lindy Hop moves. Taught by Ross and Amanda Saturdays in March at 7pm. ZOOM- Shim Sham: Our first online class will be taught by Amanda and Ashley at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 10. Thank you all for your patience and support as we continue to navigate teaching and safety in the pandemic. As cases lower, we hope that you will join us for this next set of Small Group Lessons and thank all of you who continue to come out and help us keep our doors open. We are happy to announce more lessons but still cannot offer our usual weekly dances safely and will continue to struggle with monthly rent payments to keep our space secured until they can return. We are... so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared and for how our community has supported us through the years. Though we know the pandemic presents many continued financial struggles, to hold our space we depend on you to carry us through. Please visit our website and consider donating, attending a small group lesson or booking a private lesson to until we are able to fully reopen. Thank you again to our community for supporting us as we try to open up and invite you all back in. Dancers, we are changing our status! We are eager to see you all again and to be able to reopen the Green Door, but, as we move forward there will be some changes to our typical dance routine. Instead of our standard social dances, we will be offering small group workshops which will be taught at the Green Door starting at 7:00pm Tuesday evenings. We will accept five couples per lesson and there will be no rotation, so please, register with a partner. These lessons will assure adequate social distancing to comply with COVID 19 safety precautions and provide for a more in-depth look into the dance. Thank you all for you continued support and compassion as we navigate the Coronavirus pandemic. We are eager to see you all again and to be able to reopen the Green Door. Our board has begun to meet and discuss the possibilities of reopening but as we work to safely open the Green Door we are asking for your continued support. Reopening at this stage is difficult but we are looking into many different options to phase back into dance. In the meantime we rely on you, our frien...ds, neighbors and fellow dancers to help us through. As a non-profit organization in the dance community, missing our weekly dances means that we will continue to struggle to make our monthly rent payment. While we work to bring the Green Door back, we ask you to reflect on the many memories that have been created within our walls. Over 15 years in our space, we’ve seen engagements, first dates, and many moments with friends new and old. With our anniversary coming up, we hope to be opening soon and creating many more of these memories but in the meantime, please take a moment to reflect on the memories you’ve made at the Green Door.
