Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. ~Psalm 116:15

ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT MARCH 15 AND 22: Dear church family, The news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) is everywhere.... Governor Wolf of PA has closed all schools through March 27 and is asking that we cancel any large gatherings or meetings. Libraries are closed and sport events are cancelled. The reason for this is because the government is trying to slow down the spread of the disease. There are not yet enough tests or any vaccines in our hospitals for people who get sick. Because of this we have decided to cancel church on March 15 and 22. The Karen Benefit Concert will not happen on March 22. We will decide later about a new date for the concert and if we will have church on March 29. Some tips to stay healthy - -- Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds -- Don’t shake hands or hug people outside of your family. Use an elbow bump or wave. -- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve. -- Try not to touch your face. -- Disinfect places you touch often - like your phone, table, door knobs, etc. News about sickness can cause people to be anxious and maybe scared, even children. So this is a time to care for one another. If you are lonely, sad, anxious or depressed, please contact us! Send us a text or call. We want you to remember that you are NOT ALONE. Everyone struggles. So reach out. Send each other encouraging messages. And be willing to listen if someone needs to talk. We are sad when we see people spread fear, racism and xenophobia (fear of people from other countries). This is wrong. Like the theme from VBS last year, we should Fear Less, Love More. 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Have a blessed weekend! With love and care for you all, Pastors Chris & Dawn
An article Lam Thanh Nguyen wrote about the history and vision for our VBS!
On Saturday we met at Mountville Mennonite Church to begin our Comforter blitz contributing to Mennonite Central Committee's goal of 6,500 comforters for January of this year. Our work feels like contributing less than "2 pence" compared with the need of more than 60 million displaced people in the world because of military conflicts and other disasters......but we give what we can. We join with Jewel Showalter who wrote this prayer more than 10 years ago. It is still our prayer today.
CHANGE FOR SUNDAY (Oct. 20): This Sunday, at 10:30 am we will have a combined worship service with Lititz Mennonite Church. We will now meet at Lititz Mennonite Church (165 Front St, Lititz, PA 17543) and not the park because it may rain and be chilly that day. Following the service we will have a fellowship meal. All our welcome!
Just learned Columbus day has a new name which fits our congregation well as we believe our immigrant congregation are the ancient cousins of our Native Americans both originating from Mongolia millenniums ago . We could not have had a more beautiful day to hike the AT, cook and paddle at Camp Hebron.
