COMMENTARY As we approach the holidays, the Board of Directors would like to extend to the community a heartfelt wish for a very Happy Thanksgiving,a joyous and blessed Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.We are all hoping for a better 2021, when we can again travel freely to visit our family and friends. We would also like to remind everyone to treat one another with decency and respect, remembering that we are all in this together. No one person is always right ...and no one person is always wrong. Collectively we will see the same light at the end of the tunnel. Please stay safe and be there for others. the staff--

UPDATE: Veterans Memorial We are sure some, if not all of you have noticed the large stone near the white cross at the cemetery. This Stone was initally intended as the backdrop for the Veterans Memorial. The stone which was placed on a footer months ago has settled creating significant deterioration. Large chips and flaking from the stone makes it not feasible to be used as such.... The Memorial commitee is now in the process of locating a new stone or any other proper backdrop. Therefore this project will be put on hold for the unforeseeable future. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts concerning this matter please feel free to contact any board member. The Memorial Commitee has announced that if all goes according to plan, the Memorial will be ready for dedication by next Memorial Day. the staff- I

THANK YOU The I.U.C.staff would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ken Schirato and the Iselin/West Lebanon volenteer fire company. Last week they brought water to the cemetery and filled the reserve tank. The cemetery relies on rainwater for their needs. No rain no water! Just another example of our hometown hero's at work. They always seem to be on hand when needed. As a community lets not forget their dedication to our town and surrounding area. a HUGE ATTA-BOY to Ken... and his fellow members.. the staff--

MEMORIAL DAY SURPRISE !! A small gathering was on hand to enjoy the Post 57 Honor Guard ceremonies. For the few that arrived early they were treated to some traditional Memorial Day music. A family gathered in Section 1 to honor and celebrate their Great Great Grandparents. The music they heard was a family member playing the Bag Pipe. " Pictured Here". Indeed a rare and beautiful tribute seldom seen, if ever, at the Iselin Cemetery. Skip snapped the picture as a remembrance of the surprise. skip--
