The Criminal Justice Department is excited to announce a new undergraduate short-term certificate program. The 18-credit Cybersecurity program is unique in its ability to apply concepts of information security, the gathering and preserving of cyber-evidence, along with analyzing cybercrimes through the criminological lens of analyzing human behavior and social systems. The program can be completed in as few as three semesters. Students will learn about the cybersecurity thr...eats and strategies used to defend against persistent cyberattacks that could be dangerous and costly. Students will also learn about proactive ways to stop or mitigate cyberattacks. Technology advances is an important driver of criminal activity. Dena’s career ...at Kutztown University began in May 2000 as secretary in the Elementary Education department. In January 2001, she was selected for a permanent position with the Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work. Dena will be retiring after 21 years at Kutztown University as the academic secretary with the Department of Criminal Justice. Dena has made an invaluable impact on the campus community.
