Dr. Laura and Lea jogged Garden Spot Village’s 10k yesterday. It was wonderful to see many of our patients serving as volunteers. In addition to participating in a great cause, we lifted our spirit and minds with fitness and sunshine!

Happy Birthday, Corrina! You Great Danes and Scooby Doo, so Cindy’s retro cake pan was the perfect start to our celebration. Cindy’s cake tasted as good as it looked. Here’s wishing that this year brings you the service dog you’ve been wishing to raise. We’re so lucky that you joined our team!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As we postpone this year’s celebration, we will only hope that the year ahead will allow travel to see the family and friends we love.

We’ve got a lot going on at 507 W. Broad Street! It may not be until late spring that our outdoor renovations are complete, but already we’re enjoying our new roof and siding. A large part of our transformation includes an improved back entrance with a larger walkway and substantial cover at entry.

So proud of our Jane! As a practice, we work hard to promote whole body health. This special photo promoting Garden Spot Village’s upcoming race on March 27th embodies this mission to a T. Let us tell you... there’s nothing like an afternoon field trip to visit our patients’ Nigerian Dwarf and Fainting goats and cure the Winter Blahs! It was therapy for the soul, and there were just too many pictures to post. Don’t you love Natalie’s barn sign? Goats are like potato chips - you can’t just have one.

My daughter Lianne and I visited the Hershey Gardens this weekend during a mini, mother-daughter vacation. Lunch at the local creperie had us pretending that we’d travelled even further! Our first time away from home in quite some time felt absolutely fantastic.

Carrie Voss led an awesome BLS (Basic Life Support) training session today to help our team brush up on CPR techniques and the use of an AED. Preparedness is key, and we had an unbelievable amount of fun getting there! Thanks, Carrie!

We’d love to help celebrate Cara’s son Carson’s recent basketball accomplishments. He and his Cocalico teammates just clinched a share of the Lancaster Lebanon League, Section 3, Boys Basketball Title. Carson was player of the game in last night’s game against Lampeter Strasburg!

It found us again?! We’re closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 18th due to the impending snow storm. We’ve extended our hours on Friday to be 8AM - 3PM. Stay warm and safe and find joy in the beauty of the season!

It truly is a wonderful day! I received my first, COVID-19 vaccination from friend and colleague Josh Stauffer. And what a special surprise to be highlighted on the local news! Had I known what was in store, no doubt I would have dressed up a bit; however, I promise the smile that you can’t see behind my mask says it all!

We’re so grateful for Dr. Laura Fisher, the Lancaster County Dental Society, and clinical scientists at large. The first three members of our clinical team were able to receive their COVID vaccines today. We tried to do everything right for Christmas despite the challenges - Longwood Gardens and a boxed lunch and gift exchange tailgate. The weather would not cooperate, but we’ve still got spirit! Besides... it’s not too different from Ireland this time of year, right? #christmas2020 #wedontmeltintherain

Tomorrow is our first day back in 2021, and this saying struck a cord deep inside me this morning. It’s funny... Dr. John and I happened to purchase exercise bikes for ourselves at the end of 2020. I was riding yesterday, and the virtual instructor spoke about her power word being OUTLAST. That’s a good one, I thought. How about approaching 2021 with that mindset?

Today is Mabel’s last day. She has cleaned our dental office weekly for 46 years, always certain to keep it spotless and a reflection of our best work. We share stories of my great-grandma Olive Anna and grandma Helen. She even remembers my actual birthday! Thank you, Mabel, for remaining a part of my family.

Dr. Laura volunteered in the dental clinic at the Water Street Rescue Mission today. Special thanks to their clinical and administrative teams for adhering to careful protocols and keeping everyone safe so to remain open during this challenging time!

We’re closed for the holiday and will reopen on Monday, January 4th, 2021. Cara and Lynn will be taking calls and returning messages next Tuesday and Wednesday. Our newest, ONLINE REVIEW: 1st visit back since the pandemic - I was very impressed by the streamlined process. I know a lot of planning went into the changes needed to implement a safe return for their patients. I had a great cleaning done by Lea. Dr. Laura and I came up with a good plan for maintaining a great smile. Dr. Harkin has put together a team of caring individuals. My parents moved not long ago, and my family has sifted through many treasures as a result.
