A NEW AUDIO TOUR of the Lazaretto is in production! Anyone with a smart phone will be able to listen to the basic history, stories, and information from the building of the site, through the quarantine station, country club, seaplane and marina years.
GREAT NEWS ! ! ! ! Professor David Barnes' book is at the presses! When it is released there will be a book signing at the Lazaretto. The title is" Lazaretto: How an Unpopular Quarantine Based on Disputed Science Allowed a City to Accommodate Immigrants and Prevent Epidemics." (Forthcoming, Johns Hopkins University Press, 2021.) Watch for updated information.
