Meet Our Summer Staff...Miss Bailey and Miss Mary!! We’re so excited to have back LCA grads and student favorites, Bailey and Mary, to help with summer day camps 2021! Mary: I am a freshman at American University in Washington, DC, where I am studying psychology right now with a minor in computer science and education (and possibly biology we will see:)) I am so excited to be back at LCA for the summer and I think it will be so fun to do camps outside this year! What I am mo...st excited about this summer is to be able to see everyone again because I’ve missed you all so much! I also so excited to play lots of fun games and put on a great show with everyone! Cant wait to see you all there!:) Bailey: Currently I am wrapping up my freshman year at Boston University as a psychology major with a political science minor on a pre-law track. I am ecstatic to be back with LCA this summer! After a long year, I could not imagine any other way to spend my summer than being surrounded by the students, staff, and community of LCA (in person!!)!

Meet Gertrude McFuzz Gertrude is a wallflower who is more comfortable observing others than being the center of attention. This is a difficult personality trait for her when she wants to be noticed by the elephant whose kind heart she has come to love. Gertrude doesn’t quite fit in with the other jungle animals, feels unsure of herself socially, and the physical flaws she perceives in herself give support to her insecurities. Feeling unworthy and too unattractive to capture... Horton’s affection, Gertrude is swayed by Mayzie’s tips on self-beautification and the promise of grandiose results. Gertrude embellishes her tail in an attempt to fit the norm. She is diligent, endures many perils and sacrifices, but is ultimately triumphant. Enter the world of Seuss with LCA this summer!
