We're going to be sharing entries, every day, from William Leister's diary for our temporary exhibit "A Day in the Life of a Farmer." Leister was a farmer who lived in Towamencin (the corner of Weikel and Allentown Roads) at the beginning of the twentieth century and kept an extensive diary. Here is his diary entry for this day in 1924: "Wednesday, October 29: Partly Cloudy and mild. Finished... cut corn on shock, We cut in other field and husk what we cut, Electricians were here" See more
