Wreaths Across America is still going on this year! It will just look a little different. The ceremony will be closed to the public and participants from the public but streamed live for all to see her on Facebook. We still need donations for our 53 wreaths! Tennis & Pickleball memberships for 2020

Malvern Borough continues to monitor best practices advised by Governor Wolf, the PA Department of Health, and the Chester County Health Department with regards to the Coronavirus pandemic. We have decided to close the Borough’s parks and playgrounds until further notice. After reviewing their usage, the Borough’s parks and playgrounds contain many communal touch points that present opportunities to transmit COVID-19. We understand how integral these facilities are to our com...munity’s daily life, and very much appreciate that, but believe this to be the best course of action at this time. This closure shall include the following facilities: All playground equipment and the gazebo at Burke Park Basketball courts and baseball field at Quann Park Basketball court at Herzak Park All playground equipment at Rubino Park Tennis courts, baseball fields, and playground equipment at the Paoli Memorial Grounds Battlefield area at the Paoli Battlefield Park Individuals are still permitted to walk through the parks, such as on the pedestrian pathways in Burke Park, but are not permitted to congregate at this time. The walking trails in the Randolph Woods Nature Preserve and Paoli Battlefield Park will remain open for use during this time. Fresh air and exercise continues to be important through this period, just continue to practice common sense approaches such as social isolation barriers and proper hygiene before/after visiting these facilities. Great Valley School District will continue their food distribution program as outlined in Burke Park during this time. The Malvern Farmers Market will also operate with an adjusted program intended to promote social distancing and limit congregation. At this time, we have no plans to alter our park times of dawn until dusk. Please follow COVID-19 prevention tips including social distancing of 6’ or more. We also recommend taking hand sanitizer with you and use it regularly; avoid touching your face, eyes and nose; cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue or flexed elbow; and if you are sick, please stay home.

We are very glad everyone is enjoying the Malvern Fire Company Carnival this week! Did you know the first Malvern Fire Company fair was held on the Paoli Memorial Grounds in 1888? That predates the Borough of Malvern by 1 year and our own Paoli Memorial Association by 8 years!

A big shout out to all those who pitched in at Paoli Battlefield Historical Park for their Annual Clean Up Day!
