90th anniversary post! As circulation grew (52,098 in 1940), the library expanded its hours, staying open until 9 pm Monday through Saturday. Another article noted "this should be a matter of great pride to the citizens of the township."

We are saddened to report that Ray Golli, a longtime and much loved library volunteer, has died. In 1993, when Ray retired from Consolidated Natural Gas, he wanted to give back to his community, so he created a job for himself at Mt Lebanon Public Library by starting a volunteer program to teach older adults how to use computers. Ray became a fixture and beloved teacher at the library. Even after he stopped teaching classes, he continued to volunteer behind the scenes. We send our heartfelt condolences to Ray's wife, children, and extended family. Thanks again, Ray!
