This message is coming to you today on behalf of your leadership to address the most recent guidelines set forth by the state, and the recommendations that have come down from our conference of the United Methodist Church. You are probably aware that in recent days, there were new mandates set forth by the state. This is led the church to a challenging place as we try to keep the worship space and building open. We want to provide you with a space that is full of worship and ...learning. But we also need to provide it in a way that is safe to you while being a good example for the world around us. This led the leadership a place to make some hard decisions. In discussions, there was an agreement to try to keep the building open as much as we can, but of course, that meant that some harder decisions need to be made. That said, we have a plan in place to continue to keep the building open. But first, we need to make some changes to worship and to the building. To make these changes means time. With that, we are announcing that there will be no Sunday school or in person worship this week (November 29th). All worship will be live streamed and recorded on YouTube. A link will be made available on Facebook, as well as our website mtzion.com. If you do not have access to either of these sites, you can contact the church office and a transcript of the message will be made available to you. This live stream will occur at our new time as planned at 10:30am. At this point in time, we are planning on being in worship on December 6, and we will send out a confirmation message next week to ensure everyone knows the most recent and up to date information. For those of you who are attending the Advent studies on Monday nights, this week’s study on November 30 will occur as planned so I hope to see you all there. I know that this situation is very frustrating but also know that your leadership is working very hard to provide you a safe space.
