The Mural Arts Institute’s Arts + Environmental Justice Symposium is taking place on May 17-21 and will include a film-festival on May 20th that showcases short documentaries from partner organizations around the country. Interwoven, a reel from Oga Po’ogeh, Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a short documentary about sharing their deeply parallel perspectives on environmental violence in the area they call home. Join us next Tuesday, 11/10 for a discussion of the contrasting identities of the participants in the Point of Triangulation artwork - on display now for the Rendering Justice exhibition. Point of Triangulation by Michelle Jones and Deb Willis sparks dialogue around public perception and bias. The mural design depicts eight community leaders from Philadelphia who all have lived experiences of incarceration, shown from two different perspectives.
