The Officers and Members would like to congratulate Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company on the purchase of our 2000 Pierce Quantum. This engine has served the residents of Bensalem for the last 20 years and we are happy to see that it will continue to serve the residents of upper Bucks County.

The Officers and Members congratulate Chief Andrew Witmer and his wife Magen on the birth of their second daughter Harper Grace, born 1/14/22, 7lbs 8oz. Both mom & baby are doing well.

Newport Fire Company is proud to announce the purchase of our next apparatus. It will be constructed by Pierce Mfg and was ordered through Glick Fire Equipment Company.

New Utility 88 has arrived! Utility 88 is a 2020 Ford F-150 purchased from Fred Beans Family of Dealerships and modified by S.K.D Tryon's Emergency Vehicle Upfitting!

Tonight following Training, members took the time to thank Life Member Kevin Jellyroll Guthrie for his 20+ years of dedication to Newport Fire Company. Kevin is moving to Florida this week. Kevin spent many years as a firefighter and trained many of the current senior members of the department the trade. Regardless of his location, Kevin made every effort to make every department event. Thank you Kevin and enjoy Florida! P.S. Watch out for Alligators, we hear they don’t like hugs.

The Officers and Members of Newport Fire Company #1 would like to congratulate the following members on achieving Life Membership Status: Christopher Flocco - 26 Years Joshua Hill - 24 Years Frank Ban - 20 Years... Members who attain life membership status have maintained active status within the department for twenty years. Thank you Gentlemen for your dedication to the department and to Bensalem Township and the surrounding communities.

Just before 14:40 hours this afternoon Engine 222 just cleared a medical assist call at the Struble Elementary School on Bensalem Blvd when they were dispatched... Smethwyck Place and Trace Drive for a report of a dwelling fire. E222 arrived on location less then a minute from dispatch and reported heavy smoke showing from the rear of the residence and went in-service with a 1 1/2 waterline. E222 driver established a water supply and BC222 set up Bensalem Command. E222’s crew reported they had a fire on the rear porch of the home with extension into the interior. SS222 crew assisted E222 on the interior and report heavy smoke throughout but only limited fire extension. R16 and L11 laddered the dwelling and E44 checked the delta side exposure for extension (negative results light smoke only). Other incoming units were advised to stage (E28, R4, TW16). The fire was quickly placed under control and no injuries were reported. Bensalem Fire Rescue (Battalion 222) is investigating the cause of the fire.

Just before 12:30 this afternoon E222 arrived on scene of a truck tractor fully involved EB PA Turnpike at Galloway Rd (rear of Foley Cat Rental). PA State Pol...ice shut down the EB lanes of the highway while firefighters extinguished the fire. SS222 and E88 Newport Fire Company arrived on scene and assisted E222.

On 3/18, Newport #volunteers responded on Box 28-15. Engine 88-1 (Acting Engine 44) arrived onscene and stretched a second line. Engine 88 arrived and assisted with the second line. Crews operated for approximately 1 hour.

Engine 222 & Special Service 222 responded to report of an accident with entrapment at the intersection of Bensalem Blvd and Fulton Ave (vehicle vs tractor trai...ler). Battalion and Deputy 44 arrived on scene reporting one person entrapped in the vehicle. Engine 222 arrived on location and went in service with a battery cutter and spreader to remove the driverside door. The extrication was complete 3 min after arrival. Thank you to Emergency Alerts of Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware Counties for stopping by Station 88 today to drop off canvas photos of Engine 44 and Engine 88. The photos were taken at the recent fire on Hulmeville Road in our first due.

Chief 44, Engine 88, Special Service 44, and Utility 88 all participated in this drive by for a member of Station 28’s (Eddington Fire Company - Station 28) family who is ill.

Engine 44 and Chief 44 responded with Penndel Volunteer Fire Company #1, Station 8 and other units to this house fire last night in Station 8’s first due.

Engine 44 responding on back to back assignments today. Dispatched first on Tactical Box 16-2 as the RIT. The Engine arrived and assumed RIT on Side A. The Engine completed various fireground tasks before being released by command. Approximately an hour later, Engine 44 was dispatched on Tactical Box 12-44. The Engine arrived with its own hydrant and stretched the 300 foot line to Side Charlie and found a dryer on fire. The fire was extinguished and the dryer was removed from the structure.
