At many delays, work has finally begun on the Summerdale Property. Tree cutting and clearing will be done Monday through Friday from 0700-1900. Please stay off ...of the property as many residents walk their dogs etc. on the site. The machine operators may not see you walking on the site and you could be injured. We will provide updates as necessary. See more
The members of the NEFR would like to thank the officers and members of the American Legion Post 751 of Enola for their recent donation towards our organization.
Congratulations are in order for Fireman and Vice President Paul Vincent on being hired by York City Fire & Rescue. Paul joined our company while attending college in the area and stuck around becoming an asset with the company, holding the positions of Vice President and Sergeant. We are proud of Paul for his accomplishment and wish him the best!
From all the members of the Northeast Fire & Rescue, we wish everyone a Merry, healthy and safe Christmas!

This morning, The Chief, Rescue and Engine along with assistance of Hampden Fire handled a crash with one on its side off the roadway with the occupant confined. Crews stabilized and extricated the patient before returning.
Late Sunday night while Utility 1 and Chief 1 were clearing a medical call, the first alarm was sent for the reported house fire with entrapment in the first due. The Chief arrived to find a two story duplex with fire showing on the first floor and multiple people trapped on the porch roof. Captain 2-13 was able to rescue the occupants through the exposure side with help of the EPPD. The Squad arrived securing their own water supply and deploying two hand lines for an aggressive attack, knocking down a bulk of the fire before other units arrived. Mutual aid provided by Enola Fire Co, West Shore Bureau of Fire, Bureau of Fire Harrisburg, Marysville Fire Co, Hampden Fire Co and DLA New Cumberland. Also a special thank you Duncannon Fire Co for covering our station during the incident. Chief 1 (AC Laman) in command. Photos by Dustin Weese.
Santa has completed his rounds in the Township and we got him back just in time to send him back off to the North Pole. We apologize if we missed you, we tried to hit every street, which is a lot. As we described before, this was the first combined effort between both Township companies to complete this task with all volunteer members. We were happy to see everyone we did see today and we hope everyone has a happy, safe and healthy Christmas!
Santa is running a little behind but getting ready to start the following areas. West Fairview, West Enola, North Enola and Brentwater Rd areas.
We are a little behind getting started. Should be taking off directly. Listen for sirens and look out for fire trucks coming around your neighborhood!
Reminder, Santa is coming to East Pennsboro today by the assistance of members of both Township Fire Companies. We will be starting around 8:00am and plan to sweep as much of the Township as possible. We will do our best to post general locations as we approach. Just a reminder, this is a no handout no contact event. We are merely escorting Santa around via the fire truck. We also will do our best to get as many streets as possible but cannot promise we do hit every single one. Keep your ears open for the sirens as we are in your neighborhood. We hope to see you today!
Late Tuesday morning, the Squad and Rescue assisted Perry County Company 2, Duncannon with a working commercial building fire. The Squad reported directly to the scene and assisted with fire attack while the Rescue assisted with a Landing Zone for Life Lion for a victim of the fire before reporting to the scene to assist. The company was out 3 hours before returning. Thank you to Lower Allen Fire Company for providing coverage for us. Photo credits to photographers Casey Saussaman and Seth Lasko.
After years of planning and saving, we are very excited to announce that phase 1 of our new Station project has officially started. Contractors will work over the next few weeks replacing the roof structure on the social hall building that will eventually be tied into the new station. Phase 2 is projected to begin in the spring or summer of 2021. We are very thankful to those who have continued to support us through this venture.

Santa is coming December 19th! For the first time ever, members from both Enola Fire Company and Northeast Fire & Rescue are teaming together to escort Santa by fire truck. We are doing a one day, township wide event. We are starting at 8:00 am and will sweep the township attempting to hit as many streets as possible. We do not have a time schedule but will try and post periodically during the event to notify of areas being visited. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be handing out anything this year. We will strictly be escorting Santa around to bring joy to the Township.
Congratulations to our winners! A representative from NEFR will call you to arrange a time to pick up your prize. Thank you to all of our sponsors and everyone who purchased tickets.

Would you help us to help you? Parking too close to corners is becoming a big issue within the Township especially in the older sections of Enola and West Fairv...iew. Trying to get around in an Emergency Vehicle is at best a challenge made worse when we're trying to get to an emergency as quickly and safely as possible. As a reminder - per the 2010 Pennsylvania Code Title 75 - VEHICLES Chapter 33 - Rules of the Road in General 3353 - Prohibitions in specified places. You can't park within 15' of a fire hydrant You can't park within 20' of a crosswalk at an intersection You can't park within 30' of a stop sign or traffic signal You can't park within 20' of a fire station entrance You can't park within 50' of a railroad crossing Just remember that seconds count in an EMERGENCY. Help us to help you and your neighbors...
Currently, the Brush with 4 is assisting Dauphin Middle-Paxton Fire Company with a mountain fire. The Tanker with 4 was redirected from the scene to cover Station 38 during the incident. Our company remains staffed for other incidents. Pictures by Dustin Weese.

A reminder for tonight.

Just in from our friends in Parks & Recreation -
Tonight was a special and historic time for the company. The leadership with approval of the company signed the contract with Conestoga Buildings and Construction to move forward with construction to start taking place this fall. Phase 1 will include the removal and replacement of the roof structure on the current social hall at Station 1. This roof will be the permanent one that will stay on that portion of the building with phase 2, the remainder of the project starting wit...h a projection of late winter or early spring. Our members are extremely excited to finally move forward with this long overdue project that has been in the planning phase for years. More details about the station replacement will be advertised soon along with rolling out our capital campaign. On top of all of this, our own members have spent many hours over the past few months performing work ahead of the project to help save a large amount of money. Pictured below is the company building committee (minus Co-Chair Ty Matter). See more
