The Parole Board does not provide individual parole case status information on any form of social media. If you have a parole concern about a family member, loved one or friend, please use the Contact Us icon on the Parole Board’s website at www.parole.pa.gov. Make certain you include the name of the person you are writing about, identifying information such as a DOC institutional or parole number, and/or a date of birth. Your email will either be answered by the Parole Board OR FORWARDED to the correct office/agency who will need to respond. The only public document the Parole Board can provide is a copy of the Board Action, which is the official document that either grants/denies parole. Please allow 7-10 business days for a response.

The Parole Board has continued to take all steps necessary to keep essential functions within the parole process in operation during this unprecedented time for all, including the family and friends of incarcerated people. The Parole Board continues to follow the statutory parole requirements it must adhere to and to work under limited operations and office closures. The Parole Board continues to work closely with the Department of Corrections as developments occur. The Parol...e Board’s status as of March 31, 2020 is: 1. Parole Board staff has prioritized parole eligible cases and are processing those decisions as quickly as possible. Focus has been placed on minimum sentence and parole review cases that are parole eligible and past their minimum dates or eligible for parole within the next six months. This includes short sentence parole cases. 2. Parole interviews and hearings are continuing through the use of technology. 3. All parole hearings at the COUNTY correctional facilities continue to be cancelled. All necessary parole hearings will be conducted in a State Correctional Institution. 4. Board Actions or the Parole Board’s official decision to parole/deny parole or following a parole violation hearing are continuing to be processed. Delays in production of these documents is expected. The Department of Corrections released a press release yesterday with additional information. https://www.media.pa.gov/Pages/corrections_details.aspx
