Perkasie Borough wants to thank our community of givers this holiday season as our hat and mitten tree was graciously covered with many items for those in need. Pennridge FISH received all the donations and we are so thankful for the outpouring of community support. Also, a special recognition to The Gutter Guys in Perkasie who donated a multitude of boxes including many snow boots and other winter items!
Wishing all our residents, businesses, friends and followers health, good fortune and happiness in 2021. We are looking forward to serving you for another year.
From Parks and Recreation: Today is a BIG day! Or maybe a short day, if you will. Happy Winter solstice, the shortest day of sunlight this year! Also today, do not forget so set your clocks for an hour past sunset to enjoy what astronomers are calling the "greatest" great conjunction! Jupiter and Saturn will align to create what is sometimes referred to as the "Christmas Star" or "Star of Bethlehem". The planets have not been this close together and visible from earth since 1226. The sun should be setting around 4:48pm. Perkasie's forecast is cloudy but hopefully you will be able to see the illuminated December sky.
Our friends at PBR Productions and the Perkasie Towne Improvement Association are screening a special edition of Perkasie LIVE tonight at midnight - tune in for a review of the year. Screening again at 8pm tomorrow - New Years Day.
