Radikal Healing welcomes a new member to the team! Jessica Ahearn, MA-Candidate, CADC, Counselor! Jessica has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is completing her Masters of Arts at Georgian Court University, majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a focus in Substance Abuse Counseling (graduation December, 2021). She is Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is also pursuing her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Certified Alcohol and ...Drug Counselor. Additionally, she is a Reiki practitioner. She has experience working with both the mental health and substance use population, providing both individual and group counseling to her clientele in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jessica has worked with clients experiencing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and self-esteem challenges. The primary therapeutic modalities she employs include mindfulness, client-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy. She believes in the ability of assisting others in finding themselves again, and letting their true self flourish. She believes in using an integrative approaches to individualize the therapeutic experience. Jessica enjoys exploring new opportunities for growth in both her personal and professional life. In her free time, you can find her practicing yoga, meditating, biking, reading, cooking, and volunteering at her local animal shelter. Excited to announce a new Radikal Healing team member! Azhra Waheed MSW, LSW/Psychotherapist Azhar is a Masters Level Licensed Social Worker. She believes in second chances and that with support, every human being has the potential to bounce back from adversity. Azhar graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors degree in Recreation Therapy and a Masters degree in Social Work. She has over 14 years of experience working in mental health. She has worked in adult partial h...ospitalization programs, outpatient mental health programs and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings. Azhar received training from Dr. Marsha Linehan for the DBT initiative in Philadelphia. She is currently receiving clinical supervision and working towards LCSW licensure. She has worked with clients with a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic illness and self-esteem issues. Azhar's work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy and Solution-focused therapy. Azhar believes in providing a space where individuals can express concerns and challenges openly without judgment. She uses an eclectic approach to fit the unique needs of each client.
