Let us join with people of goodwill throughout the world in praying for the health and recovery of Pope Francis. Yesterday, he had a scheduled surgery to correct stenosis of his lower intestine caused by diverticulitis. After his successful surgery, today it is reported that he is alert, breathing unaided, and in general is in good condition. He will continue to be under observation in the Gemelli Hospital in Rome for about seven days and will be taking it easy for the two we...eks following that. "Let us pray. God our Father, shepherd and guide, look with love on Francis, your servant, the pastor of your Church. Grant him healing in his time of recovery, that together with the flock you have entrusted to his care, you may make your Church firm in unity and love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever."

On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, we praise God that Mary was conceived without the stain of original sin and ask her to intercede for us, that we may turn from sin. During this second week of Advent, ask for her help to avoid a sin you struggle with.

Thanks to everybody for your patience as we iron out some audio issues with our Facecbook Livestreams and Radio Broadcasts. Overall, we received positive and constructive feedback, and close if not over 30 people came from their vehicles to receive Holy Communion tonight!
