This happens in every state with every pharmacy benefit management company (your prescription insurance). Reimbursing literally only pennies more than the cost of the medication. Often, depending on the medication, we may incur a loss by filling prescription. Meaning the reimbursement is below the cost of the drug. This companies and their deceptive business practices are bleeding independent pharmacies dry, trying to put us of business and robbing our patients of the ability to control where they decide to receive care.
