Congratulations to Mark Harrel '17 for being admitted into Seton Hall University where he will be pursuing an MBA in Finance! Mark was an Economics major while at Susquehanna, and he believes that his education prepared him well for his masters program by exposing him to more areas of finance through his elective classes. Meet a professor feature! Dr. Katarina Keller is our SWSB Executive Director of International Programs & Associate Professor of Economics. She has received her Ph.D. and M.A from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to that, she studied in France, Germany, Russia, Sweden and the U.S. She has been teaching at Susquehanna for 18 years. She is also the co-author of research that helped end required military service in Germany, and she was invited to the U.S. A.I.D. to present ...her research on the Effects of Higher Education in Africa to the World Bank and faculty nationwide! She recently won the SWSB Outstanding Research and Service Award! Dr. Keller likes Susquehanna’s small campus that makes it easy to form relationships, and some of her favorite memories are directing the SWSB London Program on site and traveling abroad with her students. In addition to being the advisor for Alpha Phi Omega, the student service organization on campus, she helps her church fundraise to bring water filters to families in Jamaica and Belize and hopes to travel there soon. She loves traveling, spending time with family, painting, photography, and learning languages- she speaks eight! Her best advice for a student would be to study each subject for an hour per day, and to get enough sleep. A fun fact about Dr. Keller is that she grew up in Duved, a ski resort about 10 minutes from Åre, the most famous ski resort in Sweden.
