The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) have launched the Cancer Grand Challenges program to fund multidisciplinary research teams from around the world working on nine main challenges that, if solved, could have a transformative impact on patient outcomes. Wistar celebrates #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth. Patients with advanced breast cancer live longer thanks to research advancements that inspire new therapies. Wistar scientists continue to investigate the underlying mechanisms of brain metastasis from breast cancer to identify new solutions.

The Hu lab at Wistar is advancing anticancer compounds for B cell malignancies, such as multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoma, targeting a cellular stress response mechanism.
