SHARE THE JOY - SHOP SMALL! All participating businesses will be following proper CDC guidelines, as the health and safety of everyone is our top priority. This includes: 1. It's wonderful to see our COVID-19 Relief Main Street Jump-Start Program helping our small businesses to succeed and grow despite these uncertain economic times. Caffe Barista will partner with local farmers to stock an indoor farmers market and include their products in a new line of farm-to-table meals. It also plans to become the first downtown shop to roast its own beans. Along with local produce, owner Lisa Hegedus hopes to offer eggs, milk, cheese, bakery products and pre-made salads. Renovations will start over the holidays in the cafe at 7 W. The City of Greensburg Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired that occurred on Friday 10/23/2020 at approx. 10:38 pm. The incident occurred ...in the area of Grove Street and Spring Avenue. The investigation has revealed that the suspect fled the area running from Spring Avenue to Mertz Way into an un-named alley. The suspect then crossed Alexander Avenue and was last seen on Oakland Avenue near Rohrer Street. In addition to requesting assistance from people who may have direct knowledge of the incident police are also requesting the assistance from home owners who may have security cameras outside of their residences. Originally scheduled for Saturday, October 24 from 2:00 pm 5:00 pm, the Kick-Off event for the Spring Avenue Park Design & Renovation Project has been canceled due to the recent rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the City and surrounding area. Event planners had organized a series of games, activities, and surveys designed to aid in the redesign planning process. Due to the event cancelation, planners have modified the commu...nity engagement strategy and created an online survey and a series of virtual design workshops and stakeholder interviews, all of which will be happening in the next several weeks. The workshops are opportunities to collaborate with designers using interactive online tools. Anyone interested in participating should register in advance.
