Sign up for information regarding Pitt Virtual Adaptive Training Sessions here... They will email you with more information. Sessions starting next week!
TRAS has partnered with some of Pitt's DPT students to help get the word out about their Adaptive Training Program. In the past they have offered adaptive training sessions to wheelchair users and this fall began to do so virtually (links to 2 of the sessions are below). They would like to offer a new series of sessions this winter and have created a survey to see what people might be interested in. TRAS is hoping to get back on the slopes soon so in preparation for eithe...r snow skiing this winter or water skiing this summer it might be a good idea to prepare by participating in Pitt's training sessions. Please check out the examples below and complete the survey (only 6 questions) so the students can better meet your needs. We meet people in this lifetime who leave footprints on our hearts and recently, we said goodbye to one of those beautiful people. Mark Busha experienced his first snow skiing adventure with TRAS when he was just a young man in high school and quickly became a regular participant in our winter sports program for the next twenty plus years. He also looked forward to joining us here in Conneaut Lake each summer for our TRAS disabled waterski clinic. He always had a bright smile... and a warm hug to share with his TRAS friends. Mark served his community of Finleyville as a volunteer firefighter and was a favorite employee at the local Ace Hardware Store. He watched our TRAS families grow through the years and was thrilled when the next generation of volunteers stepped up. Our deepest heartfelt condolences go out to the Busha family who loved and supported Mark in all of his adventures. You will always be our superhero, dear friend, as you soar through the skies of Heaven! We love you, miss you, and will keep the memories safe in our hearts. See more
Congratulations to @kaytephil, our Volunteer of the Year 2020! Kayte worked tirelessly this year to make #virtualtras2020 a huge hit! She has been a dedicated volunteer for most of her life and travels in from NY every year with her family! Thank you Kayte!!
