We may not be meeting in person, but we are filling the Carol Reed Memorial Mitten tree in a new way. You can drop off your donations of hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and socks at the rectory on Sunday mornings between 10 and 11 and place them in the bin on the front porch. All items are donated to local schools. Now through December 20.
Once again we are suspending worship at Trinity immediately due to the rampant spread of Covid-19. We have been extremely careful, but the risk of infection now is too great. Below is a message from Bishop Kevin. Pray for all who suffer and all who care for them. https://diobeth.org/suspension-of-indoor-gatherings-effect/
Here's the reason we haven't had heat at Trinity. Not pretty! But, the new one will be installed tomorrow.
Our August Newsletter is now on line, complete with mysterious pictures of the undercroft and a great Rumination by Fr. Ben. Our Sunday service is now Holy Eucharist II with Spiritual Communion. You can find out more about that by reading the newsletter: http://trinityathens.org/TT/20-08TrinityTimes.pdf
Our memorial garden is coming along nicely.
Nate has redone the shield that hangs on the large sign in the memorial garden. It's beautiful, which means we have to redo the rest of the sign. That will be next.
Our own Patricia Gurney is the third in this group of Elderwood Residents to come out of quarantine. We are all so happy for her and her family!
Nathan says it needs three more coats of varnish, but it won't change much. It's beautiful!
Nate has almost finished the decorative panels above the doors. Rain is on the way, so these will get finished next week. They look so beautiful under the decades of dirt and weather.
Our sign has been rebuilt! The original was made by Jack Strange in memory of Anna and John Zulkosky, parents of Barbara Strange. The weather was not kind to it over the years. The new one, which also has solar powered lighting, was made by Nathan Schwartzberg, our Junior Warden
This is delightful. A lovely short service, but keep your eye on the cat.
