The staff at Visiting Angels is proud to introduce our June Angel of the Month for YorkHaydee Melendez! Haydee is a mother of twothey are her everything and she simply adores them. She has been married to her best friend for 6 years and enjoys the great outdoors walking, bike riding, planting and gardening. Haydee has been with Visiting Angels for a year. There have been times when she’s worked 7 evenings in a row to ensure the client would have consistency with the c...aregiver and she’s often helps with overnight shifts when there’s a last minute call off. Haydee is willing to learn new things and even accept more challenging clients. When she’s asked about working, she will say yes and works every Sunday and most holidays. Haydee is so easy to work with and makes us all smile. Clients love her friendliness and attention to details. She loves being an Angel. I get to meet different people from various walks of life and I get to hear all of their stories. Being able to bring smiles and peace of mine to them and their families is important to me. CONGRATULATIONS!!! We're so happy you're an Angel, Haydee... thanks for all you do!

Happy New Years Eve from Visiting Angels! #NYE2021

Throughout the year, we’ve highlighted some of our best and brightest caregivers each month. Now, we get to share our Angels of the Year with you! CONGRATULATIONS to one of our York Visiting Angels 2020 Angel of the Year...Debra Horton! Debra Horton has been with Visiting Angels since March 2017. She conducts herself with professionalism while with her clients and always manages to work well with all other Angels. While Deb may not work as many hours as we’d like, we can always depend on her to work her scheduled shifts.and she works most Saturdays as well. Deb is always prompt in returning our calls and she is fantastic about turning in care notes weekly!

As this year winds down, I want to say a special thank you to all the staff, caregivers, clients and families who put their trust in us and show so much appreciation for what we do. And to my family who are there for me every day and support the great causes that are important to me and Visiting Angels. I'm so lucky to have two thoughtful, loving families.
