We want to welcome Team Patrick to the 2020 Champions Club! Team Patrick celebrated in the 2020 Detroit Virtual Walk for Apraxia. When asked about the importance of participating in the Walk for Apraxia, the team responded with, Apraxia Kids is a fantastic organization that has really helped our family over the last couple of years. Specifically, to our family, the organization has provided us with educational materials to inform family, friends, and teachers about Apraxia.... The pamphlets for teachers (which the organization provides us for free!) help inform Patrick’s teachers about his speech disorder, what he struggles with and what they can do to help him succeed in the classroom. It’s important for us to give back to an organization that has helped us so that they can help so many more families in the future. Being in the Champions Club is so humbling. We have raised our target goal multiple times. The support from our friends and family has been amazing! Read more about Team Patrick: https://secure.apraxia-kids.org/site//Walk/WalkForChildren

When asked about the importance of participating in the Walk for Apraxia, the team responded with, Every child deserves a voice. We will do anything we can to support our little boy and all those working so hard to find their voices. Being in the Champions Club means support! When asked about the importance of participating in the Walk for Apraxia, the team responded with, IUP NSSLHA is a group of pre-professionals working towards a degree in speech and language pathology. As future speech and language pathologists, we find it crucial to bring awareness to childhood apraxia of speech, and we strongly believe that every child deserves a voice! Being a member of the Champions Club is such an honor! I am so proud of everyone involved, which helped us go over and beyond our fundraising goals. We know that Apraxia Kids can use the donations to aid in research, directly support families, and bring additional awareness. Team Jackson has formally become a member of the 2020 Champions Club! This team is celebrating in the 2020 Westchester Virtual Walk for Apraxia. When asked about the importance of participating in the Walk for Apraxia, the team responded with, Recently I was reminded that every child needs a voice. I am my son’s voice. I will fight for him whether at school, on the playground, or at any time he needs to express a thought. I will be there every step of the way to ensure that... he is provided with all of the services and/or materials that he needs to meet with success in society. Jackson is my hero, with his heart of gold and voice that is limited due to Apraxia! He is truly the warrior! Together we will be certain to face any or all challenges that Jackson faces with Apraxia and meet with success along the way!
