Thankfully for their quick actions, more people weren't injured on Christmas morning!
Day 7 of the 7 Days of Giving is dedicated to YOU - our friends, riders and supporters! Whether you ride, volunteer or donate, we couldn't continue to serve the families of fallen first responders and the communities they serve without you!
Day 6 of the 7 Days of Giving is dedicated to our partner, the Atlantic City Police Foundation, who continued their tradition of providing toys to the children at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Santa even made an appearance in his own special sleigh!
Day 5 of the 7 Days of Giving goes to Marple Township Police Department Officer Brian Niedelman who passed away on December 8th. We awarded his family with a $5,000 Immediacy Grant and will forever be grateful for his service.
Day 4 of the 7 Days of Giving goes to the Montgomery County Hero Fund! They were recently awarded the Meritorious Community Service Team Award from the National Liberty Museum for their work in supporting the families of the fallen in Montgomery County. Thank you Sean & Sharon!
Today we remember Philadelphia Police Officer Charles "Chuck" Cassidy who succumbed to a gunshot wound on November 1, 2007. We will always remember and honor Chuck for the service he provided to our city. We are grateful for his wife, Judy, and his children who keep his memory alive through their own fundraisers and participating in our ride every year as Team Cassidy. #honorthefallen #supportthesurvivors
Our Beneficiary Party scheduled for tonight is cancelled. Please consider joining us at our guest bartending event on 11/8 where we will give out our leadership, volunteer, and fundraising awards. Stay safe & healthy everyone!
Day 3 of the 7 Days of Giving is dedicated to Nick Sava, a longtime supporter of the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation, who left a legacy of service on the first responder community.
Day 2 of the 7 Days of Giving goes to the family and friends of Highway Patrolman Andy Chan! On this day last year, we were partying the night away in his honor. We can't wait to do it again next year. Get well soon, Andy!

Happy holidays to Brayden and his family! What a great way to give back during the holiday season.
And last, but definitely not least, we would like to thank The RMR Group for their "Badge Sponsorship" in this year's The Ben to The Shore Bike Tour. Without the financial support of our sponsors, we would not be able to support the families of fallen first responders and children's charities in our area. Now more than ever, they need our support. Thank you to our sponsors will their unwavering commitment!
Congratulations to Alyssa Kuzmunich for winning the fire pit and chair set from the Billows Electric Supply Bee Team raffle. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, helping us raise almost $2,000!
Its #GivingTuesday! #GivingTuesday is a day dedicated to charitable giving. We know so many charities are deserving of your support at this time of the year. As you consider your your-end giving, we hope you'll remember the good Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation does for families of our fallen heroes in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey community and consider making a donation in honor of #GivingTuesday. We are so close to reaching our goal of $500,000 ...raised this year which would bring our total over time to $10 million. With your help, we know we can get there! Donate Here: https://www.fbbcf.org/index.cfm
A very special THANK YOU to our in-kind sponsors. To date, the FBBCF has raised over $9.5 million for the children in our community. Every year, over 80% of all proceeds go directly the families of fallen first responders, the Police Youth Alliance program, and children charities in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. Without the support of our in-kind sponsors, we would not be able to reach that goal. THANK YOU!!!

A VERY Happy Birthday to one of the coolest guys we know.. Happy Birthday, Preston! We are so proud to be part of your wonderful organization Preston's March For Energy. Knowing you is a gift that we are thankful for each day!
Temple University Campus Safety Services is already hard at work with their grant money from this year. Officers delivered Thanksgiving meals to the local Temple community & gave toys to the children at St. Malachy School. We are honored to provide them with a $7,000 grant this year, all of which is possible because of YOU, our donors, supporters, and riders!
We were delighted to support Beat The Streets Philadelphia with $10,000 this year. Their organization is committed to fostering the holistic development of student athletes by providing resources to support an athletic program and an academic tutoring program in the Philadelphia region. Keep up the great work!
Great synopsis by Michael Smerconish
People helping people. That's what it's all about. Congratulations to the Philadelphia Fire Department for being recognized on the national level!
Today we remember Sergeant Timothy E. Simpson who was killed on November 17th, 2008 when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle operated by an intoxicated driver. We are thankful for his service

We were happy to support the Atlantic City Police Foundation with $10,000 this year. They do great work in supporting the ACPD and the Atlantic City community!

We are truly grateful to our sponsors for their dedication and support to the first responder community and the lives of children in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. And a huge thank you to the Graham Company for their support throughout the years! We couldn't do this event every year without you!
Yesterday was @Gregg Murphy's last day broadcasting with the Philadelphia Phillies. Not only is he our good friend, but he is also a Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation board member, passionate spokesperson, and the captain of Team Murphy. And he is also one heck of a broadcaster. We wish you nothing but the best in your broadcasting future, Murph! The games sure won’t be the same without you!... (Sound up)
A HUGE THANK YOU to our Silver Sponsors! Billows Electric Supply and BLBB Charitable. We are truly grateful for your support and dedication to the first responder community and the lives of children in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area.
Today we remember Philadelphia Highway Patrol Sergeant Patrick McDonald. Sergeant McDonald was killed after pulling over a vehicle and engaging in a violent struggle with one of the passengers, a convicted felon who was out on parole, and who was wanted for assaulting several police officers a couple days prior. We will always remember Sgt. McDonald and thank him for his service to the city of Philadelphia.
Happy birthday to our favorite guy with a mic, Gregg Murphy!
ATTENTION! The deadline for incentive prizes is TODAY!!! To qualify for this year's incentive prizes you must reach each threshold by midnight tonight! The money raised through this year's event will go to the families of fallen first responders and children's charities in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. Keep fundraising!
Today we remember Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox who was shot and killed while involved in a foot pursuit along the Schuylkill River Trail. We not only remember Officer Fox as an outstanding officer, husband, father, USMC veteran, and, most importantly, a hero, but we remember the lasting legacy he has left on so many people since his death. Officer Fox's family was our very first Immediacy Grant which helped shape what our Foundation is today, and has since h...elped so many first responder families when they needed it most. We will never forget Officer Fox and will continue to carry on his legacy in our work every day.
Today we remember Pennsylvania State Trooper Corporal Byron Dickson who was killed in an ambush outside his barracks on September 12, 2014. We will forever be grateful for his service and ultimate sacrifice. This shooting is what ignited the passion of the Jim Thorpers Bike Team, which has led to them being one of our largest teams and steadfast supporters of our foundation.
On this day when so many first responders were lost, take a moment to see how the Jim Thorpers Bike Team is honoring the fallen across the entire USA.
More than 2,000 first responders, office workers and residents of lower Manhattan have died from a 9/11-related illness and officials anticipate that figure will eventually exceed the nearly 3,000 deaths that occurred on 9/11 itself. #neverforget #familiesbehindthebadge
Today we remember Philadelphia Police Officers Raymond Diaz EOW 9/9/16 and Isabel Nazario EOW 9/5/08, who both died from complications after their patrol cars were struck during pursuits. We are forever grateful for their service.
Earlier this summer we gave out 6 adaptive bikes with Preston's March For Energy but one lucky little guy, Christian, had to wait a bit longer. We were so happy to see the smile on Christian's face as he received his adaptive bike on Saturday!
