National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day is right around the corner and we are so excited to celebrate it with you all! Since this is such a sweet holiday, we decided we wanted to double the fun and have two days of cheer this year. On Saturday January 30th AND February 6th, we'll be serving ice cream, specialty treats and cafe drinks from 7:30am - 10:30am. Our market will also be open if you want to take home some packaged ice cream to continue the festivities. Let's bend the rules of breakfast and make memories together while eating ice cream, Baked Foxes, affogatos and enjoying warm coffee or cafe drinks! Pajamas are optional. Lunch will be served regular time 11am - 2pm and of course we’ll be open till 9:30pm as usual.

After many weeks of trials and taste testing (hard job, right?), we are so excited to introduce to you our 2020 guest flavor creation - Monkey Bread Ice Cream! Thanks Mary Witmer for this great idea! This playful flavor features house-made pieces of cinnamon sugar-coated monkey bread and a gooey, buttery, brown sugary sauce swirled into a Ceylon cinnamon sugar base. Our R&D team was having so much fun that we are simultaneously rolling out a Monkey Bread Baked Fox which... just might be our most interesting and complex Baked Fox ever! The Monkey Bread Baked Fox features individual moist dough pieces dipped in buttery cinnamon sugar that can be picked apart with your fingers if you dare! We recommend Monkey Bread Ice Cream or Madagascan Vanilla inside for best experience! Enjoy! {Extended Flavor Story} Like many good stories, the origins aren't exactly clear but the end result is still sweet. Many people believe Monkey Bread originated from the Hungarian dessert Arany Galushka ("golden dumpling") and was introduced to America as Hungarian families immigrated to America in the early twentieth century. Betty Crocker, having a penchant for making the unknown known, introduced "Hungarian Coffee Cake" to the masses in the 1940s. Somewhere along the line, this delectable cake became sweeter and gooier and became known as Monkey Bread in the common vernacular. Why "Monkey Bread"? The playful name comes from the fact that the individual dough pieces can be picked off with your fingers just like a monkey would. Monkey Bread even became a staple of President Reagan's Christmas celebrations.
